Baby Krakens Recipe (or Cuttlefish with ink recipe)

I made this today for lunch and believe me, it tastes much better than it looks. Sorry I can’t say correct quantities as I do what seems better in the moment, but between parenthesis I put some that work well (I think).

For this you will need:

  • Baby krakens with ink (small cuttlefish with ink, for non steampunks) (1kg)
  • some garlic cloves – sliced (3 or 4 depends on how much you like garlic)
  • bunch of chopped coriander (I prefer to use fresh coriander)
  • white wine
  • salt
  • Olive oil (maybe about 2 or 3 tablespoons)

Wash the cuttlefish a little – be careful not to wash the ink away.

Put the olive oil, the garlic and the coriander in a pan and let it fry just a little. Than add the krakens/cuttlefish and the wine and season it with salt. Let it simmer. After a while remove the bones – they will begin to come out by themselves. Cover with a lid and let it simmer until the cuttlefish is well cooked. Add more wine if necessary.

This can be accompanied with boiled potatoes.
